Beer for Water
Join Texas Land Conservancy for our fourth annual Beer for Water! This event is an opportunity to bring together the community and shed light on the importance of land conservation to the health of our water systems.
2022 Hill Country Leadership Summit – Our Shared Stories: Past, Present, and Future
The Hill Country Leadership Summit is the Hill Country Alliance’s premiere annual gathering, and provides an opportunity for learning, networking, and being inspired among our region’s top community leaders, conservation practitioners, and natural resource managers.
How One Community is Tackling Their Water Quality Issues
Let's talk about organizing volunteers to work through Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) to install storm drain markers, hold park talks to discuss the issues of bacteria, low DO, and other pollutants and build community awareness. Cities and other municipalities may work through their utility departments, and the effort would need an agency/entity facilitator/organizer, but the activities are transferable to lots of locations and are especially possible for Master Naturalists across the state to consider as a package they could offer a MUD/Utility if funding is provided by the beneficiary organization.
Hill Country Water Talk
How are Hill Country streams harmed when sewage is dumped into them? How can recycled wastewater help our region cope with droughts? What can you do to protect the last pristine streams in Texas? Learn the answers to these questions — and enjoy great local brews! — at the Hill Country Water Talk on August 27 at Roughhouse Brewing in San Marcos. The event is hosted by Save Barton Creek Association, The Meadows Center for Water & the Environment at Texas State University, Texas Brewshed Alliance, the Watershed Association, San Marcos River Foundation, and Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance.
Wimberley City Council Meeting
The Wimberley City Council generally holds bi-weekly regular board meetings on Thursday evenings at the City offices at 221 Stillwater, Wimberley, Texas 78676, starting at 6pm. Schedule adjustments are made for holidays and agenda load. Check the Public Meetings page for details and official postings.
